Chalonda C. A. Hicks

A native of Saint Paul, MN, Chalonda began praise dancing when she was 9 years old. Her first time praise dancing in front of a crowd of people was when she praise danced in the fourth grade talent show at her school, at the encouraging of her teacher, who was a Christian. It was at that time that Chalonda's God-given gift of praise dance began to be nurtured and she joined the dance ministry at her home church. As she learned and developed in the ministry of dance, her passion for the art grew and she became a member of her church's adult dance team at the age of 15. Chalonda has consistently ministered in praise dance in a variety of venues under the direction and leadership of Pastor Marsha Carter for approximately 15 years. She has also danced with members of Beyond the Dance team for more than 20 years. She has been a member of Beyond the Dance Network since 2013. 

Currently, Chalonda is a Deaconess and dance leader over the Jubilee adult and Junior Jubilee children's dance ministries at the Holy Christian Church, where her leadership is supervised by her Pastors, Archbishop Wayne and First Lady Deondra Felton. 

As a minister of dance, Chalonda's heart desire is to honor her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through her God-given gift. It is for His glory that she dances and uses her gift to usher others into His presence through both choreographed and Holy Spirit led dance ministry pieces. 

Chalonda is happily married to Deacon Lander Hicks.
